Welcome to Edgewood Manor of Lucasville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, a Medicare- and Medicaid-certified skilled nursing center in Lucasville, Ohio. Lucasville I features a secure memory care unit exclusively for women, as well as skilled nursing and long-term care. At Edgewood Manor of Lucasville, our residents truly are family and sometimes family goes the extra mile to protect the memories that matter most. ❤️
Donnie has treasured a leather motorcycle vest his brother gave him when he turned 16. It’s been with him through decades of life, memories, and stories… but time had definitely taken its toll on it. We knew how much it meant to him, and there was no way we were going to let that piece of his history fade away.
So our Admission Director, Nadia, and Central Supply Manager, Tania, got to work. Their mission? Find Donnie a new vest while still honoring the original one he loves so much.
Tania reached out to The Krusaders MC, a local Pike County club, to see if they might help and Josh graciously donated a brand-new vest. Nadia found an identical patch (just smaller!) to keep it true to Donnie’s original. Then Dennis Adams at DA Graphics in Waverly stepped in and applied the patch free of charge.
On Sunday, two club members, Kris Kitts and Jerry Stonerock personally presented the vest to Donnie. The smile on his face said everything.
This is what we mean when we say we’re family.
It’s not just care, it’s heart. It’s community. It’s people coming together to make someone feel seen, valued, and loved.
We are so blessed with staff who care deeply and a community always willing to lend a helping hand. 💙

Heart disease is the #1 health risk for women, so we’re wearing red to remind everyone to take care of their hearts, through checkups, healthy choices, and looking out for one another.
